Lotofacil is a popular lottery game in Brazil, with tickets costing BRL 3.75.

Lotofacil draws take place three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings at 20:00 local time.

Players enter Lotofacil by choosing 15 numbers between 1 and 25, including the ability to select additional numbers to enter as different combinations. It is even possible to pick all 25 numbers and enter 3,080 individual Lotofacil bets!

Also, a unique annual draw called the “Lotofácil de Independência” takes place in September of each year. This draw has a bigger jackpot than usual, offering 80% instead of the typical 65% of the total prize fund.

The “Lotofácil de Independência” draw is unique because it does not roll over. If there is no jackpot winner, it rolls down to the next prize tier.

The largest Lotofacil jackpot was won on September 6, 2019, when 33 winners shared BRL 99,487,428.

The odds of winning the Lotofacil jackpot are relatively short at 1 in 3,268,760.

The odds of winning the jackpot are much better than the majority of global lottery games and far better than other lottery-based games in Brazil. 

In addition to winning the jackpot, Lotofacil players can win prizes at four additional prize tiers.

Payout and Taxes

Winners of the Lotofacil jackpot can receive winnings as a lump sum or as annual payments. Winners choosing annual payments will need to discuss the payment split with the lottery organizer itself.

All lottery winnings in Brazil are subject to 13.8% taxation.
